Bhubaneswar, Dec 6:
State Finance minister Prasanna Acharya on Thursday submitted his second reply to the State Election Commission over his alleged controversial speech on November 17 at an election campaign meeting for urban local body polls in Bargarh.
The minister had in his speech told voters in no uncertain terms that if they voted for the Congress he being the Finance minister would not release funds for development work.
The SEC had first served a notice to the minister to explain his alleged violation of model code of conduct to which the minister had in his reply said he had not committed any such offence.
Later the SEC sent him a CD copy of the recording of his controversial speech. The minister on Thursday submitted his reply to the SEC after going through the contents of the CD.
The content of the minister’s second reply is not known.
