Bhubaneswar, July 6:
The district collector and block development officers will now be able to monitor work progress of projects under these schemes sitting in their offices, homes and while on the move through smart phones. Every gram rozgar sevak will be provided with a smart phone to transmit data and visuals direct from the work site to concerned officials.
Mayurbhanj is the first district to launch the project through DRDA. The project which was hitherto functioning in six gram panchayats in the district on pilot basis was on Saturday formally launched in 100 gram panchayats by Panchayat Raj minister Arun Sahoo.
The project will be later extended to all the gram panchayats in the district, official sources said.
