Four students of Lady Lewis Girls’ High School – Farhat Bano, Khusnuma Parveen, Shaheen Parveen and Suraiya Parveen – had gone missing after leaving their homes on Saturday to attend school. However, they did not turn up at the school and had been marked absent in the school’s attendance rolls.

Their guardians had turned up at the school and had physically verified the school’s attendance register. After being confirmed that their wards had not turned up at the school, the guardians had lodged a complaint with the police.

Sambalpur police had launched its investigations in the matter to rescue the missing girls.
