According to reports, Sk Yasin (40), a businessman of Dumuduma area had put the cash in the dickey of his Scooty after withdrawing it from a nationalized bank in the Shriya Square locality. Later he went to a nearby mobile phone repairing shop. On his return, he found the dickey of his Scooty broken and the cash missing.

Later, he lodged a complaint with the Kharvel Nagar police station.

Police, during its investigation, found that the businessman had forgotten to take the keys of his vehicle after parking it.

Police are suspecting that the miscreants might have kept an eye on the movement of the businessman after he withdrew money from the bank.

“We are verifying his allegations and have started an investigation into the matter. We are also scrutinizing the CCTV footage of the closed circuit cameras placed at the nearby traffic intersection,” said deputy commissioner of police, Satyabrata Bhoi.
