Miscreants stab businessman, loot Rs 4 lakh in Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada, Oct 25:

Armed dacoits looted Rs 4 lakh and gold ornaments from a businessman after stabbing him at Udyanabandha village under Komna police limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district late last night.


According to reports, the robbers stormed into the businessman’s house during late night. As the trader protested the burglars, they stabbed him with a knife injuring him grievously.

Later, they decamped the spot with Rs 4 lakh, 160 gm of gold ornaments and 500 gm silver jewelleries.

The businessman was rescued in a critical condition and admitted to hospital, sources said.

Police have started investigation into the incident. Efforts were on to identify and nab the dacoits.
