Sundargarh: Unidentified miscreants looted an SUV and cash from staff of District Project Coordinator’s office near Tamada under Gurundia police limits in Odisha’ Sundargarh district late last night.
Amatya Kumar Pradhan and Rajendra Kumar Patra, the two staff, were returning home in a Bolero SUV when 6-7 youths holding knives and lathis intercepted the vehicle by putting trees on road around 2 AM.
The youths then forcibly took away Rs 85,000, five mobile phones and ATM cards from the victims and dumped them at a bush. The wrongdoers also fled the spot along with the SUV.
Police have started investigation into the incident.
