Robbers struck in the Odisha capital once again in broad daylight as unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 5.50 lakh from a city resident from his car today.
The criminals targeted a car parked near Saheed Nagar police outpost in the city when the owner was away.
The victim, Chitrakanta Moharana, had gone to a mobile phone repairing outlet to get his handset fixed.
After returning from the shop, Moharana found the window glass of the SUV broken and shards scattered all over.
The owner of the car realised that the assailants had decamped with Rs 5.5 lakh from the vehicle.
He rushed to the Saheed Nagar police station and lodged a complaint about the crime. Meanwhile, police are investigation into the matter.
