Miscreants chop off man’s tongue in Odisha

Ganjam: Miscreants allegedly chopped off the tongue of a man following an argument near a market in Odisha’s Ganjam district today.

The victim, identified as Ganesh Behera, was rushed to a hospital. His condition is stated to be critical.

The shocking incident took place near Nirmaljhar square under Khallikote police limits here this evening.

The miscreants fled the spot soon after committing the crime, locals said.

The exact reason behind the incident is not known. According to the locals present at the spot, the past enmity could is suspected to be the cause for the attack.

Meanwhile, the Khallikote police have launched a manhunt to ban the attackers.
