Unidentified miscreants attempted to loot cash from an ATM after breaking the machine in Odisha’s Puri city last night.


According to reports, the robbers broke an ATM of State Bank of India located at Sarvodaya Nagar under Kumbharpada police station here last night with an intention of stealing cash.

Though the miscreants broke the monitor of the ATM and tried to cut it, they failed to take away cash from the iron chest of the machine, sources said.

The looters broke the CCTV cameras installed at the ATM counter before fleeing the spot, sources added.

After the incident came to fore this morning, Kumbharpada police reached the spot with a forensic team and started investigation.
