School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra today reviewed the preparations for the upcoming matriculation examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha at state secretariat here.
The meeting was attended by top officials of education department and BSE.
While the annual examination is scheduled from February 22 to March 4, the evaluation of the answer sheets will commence from March 11, official sources said.
Yesterday, the Board officials dispatched the question papers to respective nodal centres.
“Three vehicles loaded with question papers left the office of Board of Secondary Education amid tight security. The question papers will be sent to the nodal centres in two phases. For this, it will take around 11-12 days,” said BSE President Dakshya Prasad Nanda.
In the first phase, the first three exam test papers were sent to 35 nodal centres yesterday, he added.
These question papers will be kept under tight round-the-clock security.
This year a record number of 6, 01,348 students will appear for the class 10 exams, 2882 examination centres have been identified for this purpose. For this, 305 nodal centres have been identified for safe keeping of the question papers and answer sheets.
Earlier, for a smooth and problem free conduct of the examination Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School and Mass Education Department, Ranjana Chopra had sent letters to all district collectors, SPs, RDCs, District Education Officers (DEOs) in the state.
