With Saturday’s well marked low pressure now lying as a low pressure over Vidarbha and adjoining Telangana and south Chhattisgarh, many places in Odisha are likely to experience more rainfall accompanied by gusty surface wind, the Regional Meteorological Centre here said in its forecast.


Under the impact of the low pressure, rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places over the state during next 24 hours, Met centre said.

Similarly, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the northern districts during the next 24 hours, it added.

Besides, gusty surface wind from a southerly direction with speed reaching 35 to 45 kmph and gusting to 55 kmph would prevail along and off the state’s coast, it further said.
