Bhubaneswar: Odisha playback singer Rojalin Sahu has become India’s latest YouTube sensation as her song ‘Mere Rashke Qamar’ has been viewed over 57, 000, 000 times on the popular video-sharing platform.
The popular song has fetched an amazing 57 million views on YouTube till the filing of this report. “I am so glad. This is one of my favorite songs. Hearty thanks to all my viewers,” expressed the singer.
The young bio-tech student from Odisha was selected in the Top 100 of the music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2016 and was also adjudged the first runners up of singing reality show Idea Amari Swara aired on Etv Odiya in 2011.
She debuted as a playback singer in Ollywood industry with the song Rangabati in ‘Mu Diwana To Pain’ and has also released various other albums like Kuhuka Dori (Bhajan) and Sabu Katha Re. Besides, she has been doing shows and entertaining people at various places.
When asked about her further plans she said, “I have a few upcoming albums to be revealed soon. But I want to get to a bigger platform. I wish to be a successful Bollywood playback singer.”
On being asked about who she derives inspiration from, she said, “I listen to every singer. I try to learn something from everyone. However, Sunidhi Chauhan is my idol. I also love our great singers from Odisha, Ira Mohanty and Tapu Mishra.”
