Protesting the anti-Maoist operation near the Andhra-Odisha border, in which 30 Maoists were killed, the red rebels have released an audio tape holding the Chief Ministers of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh responsible for the encounter.
The tape was released by CPI (Maoist) East Division Committee secretary Kailash, sources said.
Besides blaming the two CMs for the incident, Kailash has alleged that top Maoist cadre Ramakrishna alias RK is missing and claimed that he is under police custody.
Kailash further said in the audio tape that the Maoists haven’t become weak and will continue to fight.
Operation Green Hunt is being conducted for the benefit of industrialists and mines mafias, he said.
Notably, 28 Maoists were killed in a gunbattle with security forces which also left a Greyhounds commando dead in the cut-off areas of Chitrakonda in Malkangiri district on October 24. Two more Maoists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces at Panasput forest in Malkangiri on October 27.
