Maoists killed a leader of a tribal outfit late on Thursday night in Odisha’s Koraput district suspecting him to be a police informer.
The deceased identified as Rohini Nachika was killed by slitting his throat.
According to reports, a group of rebels barged into his house at Borigi village under Narayanpatna block in Koraput district in the night and dragged him out of his house.
The members of the outlawed group killed him by slitting his throat suspecting him to be a police informer. The body was spotted by villagers in a pool of blood some distance away from his house.
Notably, Nachika had surrendered before district police as Maoist supporter.
Meanwhile, police have sent the body for post-mortem and are investigating into the matter.
