Malkangiri: Maoists have called for a bandh in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on November 20 over multiple police encounters in which several red rebels were killed.
In a three-page letter to media, the Andhra-Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee of CPI (Maoist) has mentioned about two police encounters on October 12 and November 5 during which three Maoist leaders were killed.
It has also been mentioned in the letter that the government is trying to supress the demands of the citizens regarding solution to their issues. The government is working in the favour of various companies, the letter read.
The Zonal Committee in the letter has requested people of Malkangiri to support the bandh call.
