Surfacing of Maoist posters at two intersections on the Bolangir-Patnagarh road today led to panic among the locals in these places of Odisha’s Bolangir district.
Posters opposing Lower Suktel and Khaprakhol Pujaripali projects put up allegedly by the Red rebels were seen at Khagsabahal Chowk and Khuntapali Chowk on the Bolangir-Patnagarh road, reports said.
The Maoists have called for supporting Bolangir-Bargarh-Mahasamund bandh call given by them, the reports added.
Police suspect the banners to have been put up by the ultras on Monday night.
The banners which carried the name of outlawed CPI (Maoist) on them were seized by the Bolangir Sadar police today.
