Nayagarh, Jan 19:
A man died of wrong administration of injection by the attendant at the Damasahi Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Sunday.
As the villagers came to know about the incident, they rushed to the PHC and nabbed the attendant while he was trying to escape.
Following information, police rushed to the spot. However, they were stopped by the villagers who blocked their vehicle for nearly four hours.
However, the police managed to pacify the villagers after arresting the accused who was later forwarded to the court.
According to the villagers, the accused was seen roaming around with medicines that are supplied by government to government hospitals, PHCs and CHCs.
It may be noted that the police had seized medicines supplied by the government, from a private hospital of Gania town of the same district while they were being sold at higher price.
