Parts of southern and coastal Odisha are likely to receive rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday under the impact of low pressure in Tamil Nadu, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The intensity of rain may weaken by Thursday.

The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to mid-tropospheric levels tilting south-westwards, this would induce rain or thundershowers at one or two places over south Odisha during next 24 hours, the weather office has said.

Although there are no warning of storms, but the IMD has advised the fishermen to be careful while venturing into the sea.
