Lopamudra Mishra– wife of industrialist Sabyasachi Mishra— had to return disappointed as she failed to meet Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence Naveen Niwas here today.
According to reports, Lopamudra was denied meeting Chief Minister as she did not have a prior appointment with the latter.
However, she has been given an appointment to meet the Chief Minister on a later date, sources said.
If sources are to be believed the aggrieved woman had approached the Chief Minister to put forth her grievances related to the domestic violence and arrest of the persons named in the FIR.
It may be mentioned here that she had filed an FIR with the Mahila Police here last month alleging her husband Sabyasachi, father-in-law Trailokyanath and mother-in-law Ashamanjari of mentally and physically harassing her since her marriage in 2006.
Besides, she had leveled wife-swapping allegations against his husband Sabyasachi while they were on their honeymoon to Port Blair. Further, she had alleged that he had forced her into wife-swapping during a trip to Goa too.
Notably, the Twin City Commissionerate Police yesterday pasted a notice at the house of industrialist Trailokyanath Mishra at Kharavel Nagar area here asking him, his son and wife to depose before the Mahila police station on or before June 22 to record their statements in connection with the dowry torture case lodged by Lopamudra.
