Bhubaneswar, Mar 30:
Upset about not being released, the Kyrgyzstan woman who is currently lodged in a short stay home in Odisha capital had allegedly attempted suicide by swallowing a sharp razor blade on Tuesday.
The foreign woman yesterday became very upset about being kept in confinement and verbally abused everyone in the short stay home. She later tried to escape from the reform home, when the staffers chased her, she turned violent.
After she was captured by the house staff the woman swallowed a blade. With great difficulty the blade was taken out of her mouth, according to Sambad.
The police officer posted in the house tried to console her. She was later connected to the Kyrgyzstan embassy over phone and only calmed down after the conversation.
Notably, Odisha’s twin city Commissionerate Police on March 23 had busted a high profile sex racket operating in a posh apartment of Sri Vihar in Bhubaneswar and rescued a woman belonging to Kyrgyzstan.
