Bhubaneswar, June 11:
The Odisha BJP legislature party, which held its meeting today to list out the issues to be raised in the first session of the newly constituted Assembly beginning Thursday, decided that BJP president KV Singhdeo will lead the BJP Legislature Party (BJPLP) in House till the new BJPLP leader is formally elected.
The party could not elect its leader in the Assembly today due to the non-availability of Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, who has been appointed as the central party observer to supervise the election.
Former Union minister and MLA from Rourkela Dilip Ray is the frontrunner for the post, sources said.
The meeting, however, decided that Basant Panda will be the spokesperson of the BJPLP.
