Bhubaneswar, Dec 9:
“The performance of the party in the just concluded Assembly elections leaves no room for doubt that the BJP will form the government at the Centre. But the party would also come up with a startling result in the state Assembly and go on to form the government as the people are fed up with the Naveen Patnaik government,” BJP state unit president KV Singhdeo told media persons here.
“We have discussed at length to chalk out a strategy for the coming elections. Since the Modi factor worked in the four state elections, we are quite confident that it will do the magic in the state as well,” said Singhdeo. Modi is likely to visit the state sometime in January or February, he said.
The party, which is struggling to create its presence in the state after its disastrous performance in the urban and panchayat polls, held extended parleys today to introspect on the poll debacle in the ULB polls and prepare a strategy for the 2014 elections.
The meetings were attended by state BJP president KV Singhdeo, deputy in-charge of Odisha BJP Arun Singh, national vice-president Jual Oram and other senior leaders, including district presidents.
