The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has posted impressive results in the +2 Commerce and Arts streams of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha Examinations for the seventh year in a row.
The state pass percentage in Arts and Commerce is 71.55 % and 70.39% respectively. In comparison, the pass percentage of KISS in Arts is 99 %, while Commerce students achieved cent per cent results this year.
It is encouraging that 13 students from the Primitive Tribal Groups passed in the Commerce and Arts streams. The result was declared on Wednesday. Importantly, 17 Bonda tribe students, who were sent to the Institute by Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik two years back, cleared the +2 exams with impressive marks.
This year Girls students have shown better result than boys. Sadhak Karjee of Gajapati district from Saura tribe secured 80 percent marks, the highest in +2 Arts in KISS; similarly in Commerce Lilimani Singh of Balasore district from Bhumija tribe secured 78 percent, the highest in KISS. Congratulating the successful students, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr A Samanta said continued successes of KISS students year after year have been possible only due to blessings of God, sustained efforts of teachers and other staff.
