KISS student selected for Olympic archery training camp

Ranjit Nayak, a +2 final year Arts student of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), has been selected by the Archery Association of India for the Advanced Training Camp being organized by the World Archery Federation to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from June 6 to 20.

The camp will help him prepare for the forthcoming Youth Olympic Games to be held in Nanjing, China in August this year.

Nayak will be accompanied by his coach Rajesh Hansdak.

Nayak has also been selected to participate in the 3rd Tata National Ranking Archery Tournament (TATA NRAT)-2014 to be played at SAAP Sports Complex at Gachibowli in Hyderabad from May 26 to June 2.

He is the only participant from Odisha who will participate in the sub-junior, junior and senior categories.

Selection of the national senior and junior teams for forthcoming International events would be made from among these archers of this tournament.

Founder secretary of KIIT and KISS Dr Achyuta Samanta has congratulated Nayak and wished his success in the Youth Olympic Games.
