KiiT International School, a constituent of KIIT Group of Institutions, has bagged the prestigious e-India 2013 Award for use of technology in teaching/learning process, under the category of education. Sanjay Suar, Principal, KiiT International School and Ms. Nandita Mishra, Dy. Head, received the award on July 23, 2013 in the presence of Mr. Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology and Communication, Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, IT & Communication Dept., Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and other dignitaries at International Convention Center, Hyderabad.
This is the first time an institution from Odisha has got this award. A Conference-cum-Expo was held on the sidelines of the award ceremony. The projects of KIIT – CREYA Learning Studio and KIIT – IAPT Anveshika centre drew the attention of educationists, public and eminent jury members. Selection criteria were based on innovation, scalability, replicability, ability to overcome challenges, achievements and impact of the projects. The target group of the award was 6yr to 15yr age group (Std 1 to 10).
KiiT International School, despite being a young institution established only in 2007, has won a string of recognitions at the national level. It was ranked the best residential school of Odisha, and placed among the top twenty residential schools of India (Education World, 2012), A+++ schools of India (The Pioneer). There are only 19 schools in this league.
