Bhubaneswar: After successfully hosting multiple international sporting events, Kalinga Stadium in Odisha capital is all set to be the venue for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Futures-1 tournament, the first international tennis competition to be held in the state.
The tournament, having a prize amount of $ 15,000, will be organised from February 23 to March 3 by Odisha Tennis Association (OTA).
It will have two categories– Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles. While 32 players will be the part of Singles category, 16 duos will take part in Doubles category.
Odisha Tennis Association Secretary, Madhusudan Padhi said the state government will contribute towards infrastructural development of the tennis complex of Kalinga Stadium for the international tournament.
