Bhubaneswar, Jan 16:
Development commissioner and additional chief secretary Injeti Srinivas launched the official team anthem of the Kalinga Lancers ‘Jazba hai jeet ka’ at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.
Conceptualised by Prelude and Vighnanz, the anthem is sung by Vighnanz, the music band from Cuttack while the video shooting and editing has been done by the Film and Media School of KIIT University.
The anthem would be broadcast on all television channels, radio stations, You Tube and social media sites including Facebook to reach out to hockey fans across India and the world.
“It is a feel-good song. With the anthem, we are trying to rally the fans and motivate the team with lyrics “kucch karke jaana hai”. We are motivating our players to bring home the trophy. With the rhythm of Odissi music and pairing it with song and video, this two-and-half minute track is sure to lift the spirits of both the fans and players”, said IDCO CMD Vishal Deb who was present on the occasion.
The second edition of Hockey India League (HIL) this year would take place among six teams beginning from January 25 to February 23.
