Justice Pujahari takes oath as permanent judge of Odisha High Court

Additional Judge Justice Satrughana Pujahari was sworn-in as the permanent judge of the Odisha High Court today.

In the swearing-in ceremony at the High Court premises here, Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court Amitava Roy administered oath of office and secrecy to Justice Pujahari.

Born on September 24, 1960 at Subalaya village in Sonepur district, Justice Pujahari, after completing his graduation from Rajendra College in 1983, Bolangir, completed LLB from Lal Lajpat Rai Law College, Sambalpur in 1986.

He began his career as an advocate in 1987 and was appointed additional district and sessions judge of Ganjam in 2003.

Besides, Pujahari was also posted as the district and sessions judge of Koraput, Ganjam, Puri and Bolangir and chairman of the Sales Tax Tribunal.

He was appointed member secretary of Odisha State Legal Services Authority, Cuttack and principal secretary of the Law department of the state government.

Justice Pujahari was elevated to the Odisha High Court bench as an additional judge on November 29, 2013.
