Baripada/Keonjhar, Nov 16:
A herd of wild elephants have wrought havoc in the Nilagiri forest range in Mayurbhanj district.
According to reports, the jumbos in the wee hours on Saturday forced their way into Banthiapada and Kalijhati villages on the outskirts of the forest and damaged six houses. However, there no loss of life has been reported.
Reports from Keonjhar said a herd of 22 wild elephants have caused extensive damage to crops at Gobarabeda village under Patana forest range.
