In a broad daylight heist, two bike-borne unidentified miscreants allegedly looted a jewellery shop and fled with ornaments worth over lakhs of rupees at Mancheswar Bazar under Mancheswar police limits in Odisha capital this morning.
According to reports, two youths had kept a watch on Baba Dasraja Jewellery and Workshop in Mancheswar Bazar area from the morning.
They barged into the shop around 9 am this morning while the shopkeeper was busy in worshiping god and fled with gold ornaments worth around Rs 2.5 lakh packed in a bag.
The shopkeeper said that he used to carry his valuable ornaments to home with him at night and come in the morning with it for business.
Like everyday, today he also arrived at the shop with his jewellery bag and went for water towards the backyard of the shop putting the bag inside the shop.
The dacoits who were seeking an opportunity to implement their conspiracy didn’t miss advantage of the situation.
They barged into the shop and fled with the bag claimed to be packed with jewellery worth around Rs 2.5 lakh.
Police reached at the shop getting information of the dacoity and started investigation.
As per reports, police have succeeded to nab the looters.
