Hyderabad/Bhubaneswar, July 4:

The Odisha government will have a meeting with a team of investors at Hyderabad today for the two proposed medical colleges and hospitals in Gajapati and Rayagada districts.

The meeting, to be presided over by state Health and Family Welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, would be attended by the principal secretary of the department PK Mohapatra.

As decided, the two proposed medical colleges to be set up under Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode, will have 500 beds and 100 MBBS seats each.

The projected cost of each of the hospital is Rs 326 crore.

The state government, which has already identified the land for the two proposed medical colleges, would hand it over to the investors on lease for 99 years and provide all possible support to them to set up the  institutions.

To attract the investors, the state government has also decided to allow them to set up their own nursing colleges, para-medical colleges and technicians training centres around the periphery of these two proposed medical colleges.
