The two-day National Level Inter Railway Cultural Competition (dance), organised by the East Coast Railway (ECoR) at Rail Vihar in the Odisha capital, concluded last evening.
Gracing the occasion, ECoR general manager Rajiv Vishnoi distributed the certificates and prizes to the winners.
He appreciated the organising committee for organising such competition and encouraging cultural activities among the employees.
About 400 participants from 16 Railway Zones all over the country including eight railway production units participated in the competition which had begun on June 13.
In the group dance, Ganesh Gaikawad & Group of Central Railway, Mumbai; M Gopal Krishna & Group of South Central Railway, Secunderabad and Gurpreet Singh & Group of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala were adjudged as first, second and third respectively.
In the individual solo dance, Mousumi Saha of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan (West Bengal), Sonali Ray of East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar and Vasundhara Sharma of Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi came out first, second and third respectively.
The festival, inaugurated by Mrs Shalini Vishnoi, president, East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO), was coordinated by Mrs Manju Ray, chief personnel officer and chairperson of the Organising Committee.
