In a shocking act, some inmates of a de-addiction centre on the outskirts of the Odisha capital have allegedly killed the counselor of the centre and have managed to flee.
Sumit Ranjan Behera, a counselor of the de-addiction centre Prayash at Naharkanta was found dead at the centre today with his limbs tied.
As many as 36 out of 45 inmates of the centre have managed to escape after the brutal incident. Behera had slept with the inmates of the de-addiction centre last night.
The missing inmates are suspected to have fled the place after committing the crime.
Behera is suspected to have been strangled to death, according to preliminary reports.
