The results of All India Ranking for JEE (Mains), in the absence of which counselling for engineering seats conducted by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) in the State has got delayed, will be published online on July 7, an official of OJEE said here today.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the competent authority which conducted the national level test for prospective engineering students, extended the deadline for Std XII marks’ confirmation from June 27 to 30, fuelling speculation about a delay in the announcement of rankings.
On the day of publication of JEE Main results, the students can register their names online to sit for OJEE counselling which will begin from July 12 along with document verification, the official said.
Around 12.5 lakh engineering aspirants, who appeared for the examination, are waiting for their All India Rankings.
According to OJEE’s original counselling schedule, the admission process to B Tech engineering courses was supposed to begin from July 1 and the document verification from July 12. But, a delay on part of JEE Main in providing the student rank cards has postponed the entire OJEE calendar by a few days.
The candidates can view their current marks as recordein the JEE Mains by selecting their education board, entering their application number, JEE Mains roll number and date of birth, sources said.
