A brilliant and unbeaten half century from Gurkeerat Singh supported by a steady knock from Sanju Samson (24 not out) ensured India A beat Australia A by four wickets in the final to clinch the 50-over tri-series that also featured South Africa A.
Chasing Australia A’s score of 226/9, India A overhauled the target with 39 balls to spare at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium here on Friday.
Gurkeerat top scored for the Indians with an unbeaten knock of 87 while Ashton Agar bagged the best bowling figures for the tourists — 2/39. (IANS)
