Bhubaneswar: International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Chairman Sebastian Coe today called on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik this evening at his residence here.
The chief of the sporting body met Patnaik at Naveen Niwas where the former expressed his satisfaction over the infrastructural facility made ready for the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships beginning tomorrow.
“Arrangements at Kalinga Stadium’s warm-up track high quality. Infrastructure and facilities at the Stadium is world class. I am delighted to be visiting Odisha’s capital for the first time,” IAAF Chairman Sebastian Coe said here after visiting the sports complex.
Post the meeting, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said: “Glad to meet IAAF chief Sebastian Coe. The Olympic gold medalist’s admiration of infrastructure and facilities for AAC 2017 makes Odisha proud.”
Earlier in the day, Coe arrived here where Adille Sumariwalla, President of Athletics Federation of India, R Vineel Krishna, Joint CEO of Organising Committee among others received him at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA).
