Former BJP president of Odisha and former minister Bimbadhar Kuanr Tuesday said he was subjected to humiliation at the election committee meeting of the party.
Clearing the air on why he resigned from the party, Kuanr told reporters that and party president K V Singhdeo had remained silent when he was humiliated in the meeting. He alleged senior leaders were being ignored in the BJP.
Kuanr joined the BJD on Monday after resigning from the BJP.
The state president of the BJP KV Singhde,o in his reaction on Kuanr’s move had on Monday, had said that the senior leader was unhappy because he wanted the party ticket for the Lok Sabha seat but was offered a ticket for an assembly seat insead.
Singhdeo had then said “The party never sidelined or ignored him. His allegation is not true”.
