Security personnel during combing operations today recovered a huge cache of explosives from under a culvert in Odisha’s Koraput district.
Reports said jawans of 143 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) during combing operations today recovered large quantities of explosives and flexible wire from under a culvert on the Tanginiguda-Dasmantpur road near Baipariguda.
The recovered materials include two tiffin bombs, 22 electric detonators, 25 gelatin sticks, a 12volt battery and 45 metres of flexible wire, reports added.
Reportedly, the explosives are suspected to have been kept by Maoists for use against security personnel.
Following recovery of the explosives, combing operations have been intensified in the area, reports added.
