With the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations scheduled to commence from February 25, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) today formed dedicated teams for secure despatch and collection of question-answer (Q&A) sheets.
In view of the inordinate delay in the despatch of answer sheets by post and manipulation of answer sheets at the time of despatch, it has been decided that the despatch teams would collect the answer sheets from the examination centres and deposit those at the nodal centres.
Like every year, the Board has formed a three-tier squad system to check malpractices. There would be 75 squads at District Education Officer (DEO) level and 52 central squads under the BSE.
Besides, a special squad would be formed by the district administration.
Briefing newsmen here, BSE president Prof Dakshya Prasad Nanda said 24-hour security arrangements have been made in all the 305 nodal centres.
“The chief secretary had discussed the matter with the district collectors and SPs in a recent video conferencing. We are hopeful that the district administration would cooperate with us in this regard,” Nanda added.
It may be mentioned that a total of 6,14,041 students-5,50,505 regular, 50,187 ex-regular, 8780 correspondence course and 4525 Madhyama students – would appear the annual examinations across 2737 examination centres.
