Cuttack: Beginning his campaigning for the fourth phase elections in the State scheduled to be held on April 29, BJD president Naveen Patnaik today fired a fresh salvo at BJP alleging that ‘hooliganism’ is the main agenda of the saffron party.
Addressing a public meeting at Niali under Jagatsinghpur Parliamentary Constituency, Patnaik said, “False propaganda, violence and hooliganism are the main agendas of BJP. The party has given tickets to criminals for the ongoing elections. People will give a befitting reply to the party.”
BJP will see a huge poll debacle across the country this time, he added.
Highlighting various achievements of the ruling party during the last 19 years, Patnaik said Odisha, which was devastated by the 1999 super cyclone, has now emerged as a model state and helping others States during various emergency situations.
“The State that was importing rice to cater to the needs of its own people has now become a major supplier of the produce. Odisha, which was earlier known to be a poor State, is now on the front line in removing poverty. Are not these indicators of transformation?,” Patnaik claimed.
The four-time Chief Minister later promised that he would continue to fight for the interest of the people of Odisha till his last breath.
