The administration of Jagannath temple in Puri will set up a heritage park at Jagannath Ballav Math in the pilgrim city in Odisha.

The heritage park will be set up at cost of Rs 30-40 crore at the premises of the Jagannath Ballav Math in Puri, said Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Suresh Mohapatra after a meeting chaired by Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb here today.

The Math will have parking space and the pond in the premises will be renovated, Mohapatra said.

Flower plants and trees will be planted at the heritage park for flowers and timber that will be in use for daily rituals of Lord Jagannath, he said.

A committee has been set up to finalise the designs of the project.

Besides, museum located inside the temple premises will be reconstructed; beautification of Gundicha temple, Atharanala and Musha stream will be carried out.
