Yesterday’s depression over north Chattisgarh and neighbourhood moved westwards and lay centered today over West Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood about 50 kms Southeast of Bhopal, the afternoon bulletin of the Bhubaneswar Met Centre said today, adding, the system would continue to move Westwards and weaken gradually during the next 24 hours.
The bulletin said rain/thundershower would occur at one or two places over Odisha during next 24 hours but ruled out heavy rainfall anywhere in the state during the period.
However, gusty surface wind speed reaching 25 to 35 kmph, gusting to 45 kmph, may prevail along and off Odisha coast, the bulletin informed while advising fishermen to exercise caution while venturing into the sea.
Increased rainfall activity is likely after July 27, the Met Centre forecast indicated.
