Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a low pressure resulting in heavy rainfall over various parts of Odisha till July 20, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre predicted today.
Model products indicate that low pressure is likely to form on July 16 and it would intensify into depression on the next day, a release of the meteorological centre said.
Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in coastal Odisha today, it said.
From tomorrow up to July 18, very heavy rainfall is likely to lash south Odisha and adjoining coastal districts up to Kendrapara.
On the other hand, very heavy rainfall is likely to take place in north interior districts from July 19 to 20, it added.
