Cuttack, Feb 27: The Odisha High Court on Wednesday ordered a stay on collection of the revised school fees by the Stewart School management.
A single judge bench of Justice Kumari Sanju Panda while after admitting a batch of writ petitions filed by some parents, rejected the circular of the school authorities and asked them to refrain from collecting the enhanced school fees till the disposal of the petitions.
The bench also warned the school authorities of taking any actions against the students who have not paid the revised dues and not to harass those students who are scheduled to appear at the school leaving examinations next month.
The petitioners had alleged that that the school authorities had stopped issuing admit cards to the students of Class X and Class XII for the forthcoming examinations who have not deposited the revised dues.
