On the eve of Diwali, Humara Bachpan Campaign (HBC), a national campaign for safe and healthy environment for children living in urban poverty, celebrated Diwali with 300 children living in slums of Bhubaneswar in the Odisha capital this evening.
Called “Safe Diwali Safe Bachpan” , the programme was conducted at the Kargil Basti.
” The main objective of this event was to create a symbol of solidarity and spread a message of pollution free and safe environment among children living in urban poverty. The theme of the event was-Burn your Ego, Not Crackers-,” a Humara Bachpan release said.
The mayor of Bhubaneswar Ananta Narayan Jena, Asst Police Commissioner,Traffic Jatindra Kumar Panda and Nirmal Satpathy, Addl Commissioner Police, Security attended the event as guests of honour on for this occasion.
