Acting on a tip-off, the government railway police (GRP) on Tuesday seized nearly 452 bottles of illegal Aska-40 country liquor from an accused named P Kamesh Reddy (32) of Falikiya Basti in Rajmahal here. The accused was forwarded to the court, police said.
According to Inspector-in-charge of GRP Saubhagya Swain, Reddy was running an illegal liquor shop in his residence here without a licence. During a raid at his residence, as many as 19 cartons of illegal liquor having 452 bottles of Aska-40 country made liquor weighing 90 litres was seized by GRP personnel. A case has been registered against Reddy under Section-47 A of Bihar and Odisha Excise Act, he added.
