Several persons were injured in a group clash on the outskirts of Odisha capital today following which police forces were deployed.
According to reports, a clash erupted between the villagers of Kalajhari and Ostapada under Nandankanan police limits which later turned ugly with hurling of stones and crude bombs at each other.
Former Zilla Parishad Member Debendra Bhoi and several others of both groups were injured in the conflict.
A bike was also torched during the incident.
Police resorted to lathicharge and fired tear gas to disperse the mob.
Police forces have been deployed at the spot to avoid further untoward incident.
