Cuttack: A youth died and another sustained critical injuries in a clash between two groups in Narasinghpur area of Odisha’s Cuttack district late last night.
According to police sources, a heated exchange of words erupted between two groups of Maniabandha and Bindharia villages at Nuapatna market last evening over ganja smuggling.
After returning to their respective villages, the two groups challenged each other over mobile phone for a face-off.
Some youths of Maniabandha reached Bindharia late last night, which was followed by hurling of crude bombs by the two groups at each other.
While Vikash Sahu (25) of Bindharia died in the incident, one Indramani Seth was grievously injured and admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Police have detained four persons in connection with the clash for questioning.
