“We have apprised Governor and Chancellor of Universities Dr SC Jamir of the issue and also discussed with the Higher Education secretary in this regard,” university vice-chancellor Deepak Kumar Behera said on Tuesday.

The request of the University authorities has come in the wake of the refusal of the post-graduate students to fill up examination forms for the first and third semester examinations.

Following the protest, the authorities have extended the date for submission of forms to December 6.

First and third semester examinations are due in first week of January 2014.

The university students’ union had also urged the Revenue minister SN Patro to waive the examination fees when he visited the university recently.
