OST Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Jan 28:

Ahead of the annual Plus Two examinations scheduled to begin on March 3, the Higher Education department on Tuesday decided that any irregularity in the conduct of examinations would be severely dealt with this time.

A preparatory meeting in this regard today prepared a blueprint on the smooth conduct of the examinations, safety of question papers and the monitoring of security measures. The meeting was attended by Higher Education secretary Gagan Kumar Dhal, senior police officials and principals of 205 colleges.

“The principals of the colleges have been asked to strictly adhere to directives failing which stern action would be initiated against them” Dhal told reporters after the meeting.

It was decided that CCTV cameras would be installed in 203 hubs where the question papers would be kept.

The question papers would be taken to the examination centres amid tight security.

“Action would be taken against any attempt to tamper with the question papers,” informed BN Jha, ADG (Law and Order).
